I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. After a double mastectomy and many trips for chemotherapy, I was in remission two years later. Five years and five months after that, the cancer came back behind my sternum. Radiation and chemo!
Two years later, at my yearly scan, I am now dealing with the spread of breast cancer again (in my right kidney and lymph nodes in the neck). Five months into chemo and I can say, with a smile, it is shrinking.
My life revolves around my cancer, but does not control my life!
