My story started with fear, confusion, and a lot of unknowns. I was balancing life, work, and being a mom when cancer suddenly became part of my everyday reality. I began chemotherapy knowing it would be hard, but not fully understanding how much it would affect me—physically and emotionally. The fatigue, the changes in my body, and the constant “what ifs” have been overwhelming at times, but I’ve continued to show up for each treatment.
My plan includes chemotherapy followed by ongoing HER2-targeted therapy for a year. Some days I feel strong; other days I don’t—and I’ve learned both are okay. My support system has made all the difference: my husband stepping in, my family helping where they can, and holding onto small pieces of normal life whenever I can. This journey isn’t over, and I still have surgery and more ahead, but I’m taking it one step at a time and learning that strength doesn’t mean being fearless—it means continuing forward even when you’re scared.
