I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 35. I found the lump myself when the underwire from my bra had cut me. After I found the lump, I saw two doctors who told me I was too young to have cancer. They added that sometimes you get these things with having your period. They told me to watch it. Something in my gut told me not to wait.
I had a mammogram, aspiration and a biopsy. Three days later, I got a call saying I had stage 1 breast cancer. I had surgery, 4 rounds of chemo, and 30 rounds of radiation. I am now on Tamoxifen for 10 years. I decided to turn this into a blessing, and I am working hard on being the best version of myself.
