This tool is a confusing one because although it looks like a triangle, it is actually a square. It reminds me that so often when people ask us how we are, we say, “I’m fine” when we don’t honestly feel fine at all. It is okay to be real, it is okay to not be fine, it is in fact even okay to tell someone that you’re sad, you’re scared, you’re lonely, etc.
Not being fine all the time makes you human. It makes you real enough for others to share how they are feeling too. So be honest with yourself and others, it’s okay!
