I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer on Sept. 26, 2014, right before breast cancer awareness month. I was really shocked since there isn’t any family history. Mine was caused from taking hormones for menopause. I did 6 rounds of chemo which I finished Feb. 12, 2015. I recently had a double mastectomy on March 10, 2015. I have a lot of lymph node involvement, so I will be starting radiation next week for 35 treatments, 7 weeks. I still get my Herceptin every 3 weeks for 52 weeks. Right now, I am cancer free!
