Kathy’s Story (Breast Cancer)

Breast Cancer StoriesI was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer on Sept. 26, 2014, right before breast cancer awareness month. I was really shocked since there isn’t any family history. Mine was caused from taking hormones for menopause. I did 6 rounds of chemo which I finished Feb. 12, 2015. I recently had a double mastectomy on March 10, 2015. I have a lot of lymph node involvement, so I will be starting radiation next week for 35 treatments, 7 weeks. I still get my Herceptin every 3 weeks for 52 weeks. Right now, I am cancer free!

  1. I was diagnosed back in Feb 2014 with stage IV triple negative inflammatory breast cancer. It traveled so unfortunately a mastectomy wasn’t an option nor radiation. I have had 18 rounds of chemo, along with the nuelasta shot the day after. My blood levels are now up so I don’t have to do the shot any longer. Prayers are a huge blessing & my support team is unstoppable! With God’s help, we can FLAG & kick cancers a@@!!!
