I am a 41-year-old mother of 5 and wife to a great man. I am supported by family and friends.
In October 2014, I found a lump in my left breast. I waited a month to see if it would go away and then scheduled a Mammogram to have it checked. The mammogram wasn’t scheduled until the end of December 2014.
I was diagnosed in early January 2015 with breast cancer. I have undergone a left side mastectomy and am currently in the middle of chemotherapy. The cancer was removed with the surgery, and the chemotherapy is to reduce my recurrence rate.
I feel very fortunate to have caught the cancer early and to have a great team of doctors and nurses to work with.
