I was 41 years old. We had sold our home and were moving to Nevada. I wanted to go to the doctor to get my yearly done with, and she found a lump! I had a needle guided biopsy.
The next day, I got the call that would change our lives forever! November 7th 2014. I had Cancer! Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.
One month later, I had a double mastectomy. My tumor doubled in size! I had four rounds of chemo, each round followed by the Neulasta shot. I just had my second reconstruction surgery.
If we hadn’t sold our house, I would have put my yearly off, and I probably would not be standing here today. Please do self checks and get your mammogram! #earlydetection
