Tami’s Story (Breast Cancer, Ovarian Cancer)

Tami's Story breast cancerIn May 2013, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. In December 2014, I celebrated a year cancer-free. On January 21, 2015, while undergoing surgery to have my ovaries removed because I am BRCA1 positive, they discovered I have ovarian cancer.

I fought like a girl the first round, and I will fight even harder this time. I have everything to fight for: my husband, my children, and my beautiful grandchildren, and hopefully more to come.

This picture is my all-time favorite photo, taken during my first treatment. It’s of me and my grandson Bentley.
