Greetings, my name is Susan, and I’ve been battling mental health issues for 10 years; it has been painful and yes, physical.
I was first diagnosed with a form of major depression at 21 years of age and suffered much of my 20’s dealing with and adjusting to taking medication for the rest of my life. It’s a struggle to keep taking my medicine, just to keep everything in check in my brain circuits. I was hospitalized twice due to meltdowns, but I always FIGHT BACK!
I’ve encountered women who’ve endured their fair share with mental health battles. They have told me that I’m not alone with this struggle, and I say the same thing to you. I currently have a career in IT (Information Technology) and receive positive recognition for my work troubleshooting websites every day. It drives me to better myself and Fight Like a Girl!
I hope to inspire my fellow sisters to keep on fighting and living. Thank You!
