Sheila’s Story (Breast Cancer)

Sheila Stroy (Breast Cancer)On June 1,2011, my journey had just begun. I had stage 2 invasive ductal breast cancer. It was a long rough journey but I knew with God, family, and friends by my side I wasn’t going to give up the fight. It was almost two years to the date that my sister had found out she had it too. We are both survivors.

I now have RSD which there is no cure for. The way I look at it as long as I am still here and that (breast cancer) is gone I will learn to deal with the other. I get aggravated because it affects my dominant hand and it’s hard to do the things I used to do on my own. But I’m still here and that’s what counts.

Keep up the positive attitude, and God by your side, and it will all work out. Please make sure you all get checked regularly. It’s the best detection. It can save your life. God bless each one of you who know where us survivors stand and know where we are coming from.
