Mia’s Story (Endometriosis)

Mia's Story EndometriosisHi everyone,

My name is Mia. I’m 21, and I suffer from endometriosis. From age 18, I had an abnormal cycle, and I didn’t understand why. When I turned 19, each and every time, the cramps worsened. Last year, I started having only 2-4 cycles a year and the cramps would be horrible. Then this year, around 3 weeks ago, I start having cramps after two months with no cycle. The pain was at my lower abdomen. I went back and forth to the ER 4 times since then. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and bursts follicular cysts, as well as a present cyst. This month’s cycle is the first one since the diagnosis, and I can’t even go more than a few steps without a cramp pretty much handicapping me. I am scheduled to meet with a specialist, but until then, all I have is pain medicine and hormone pills. I hope that I can help someone who comes along and needs help. At times, it’s very irritating because people don’t understand, but I can now help someone else. God bless you all. ☺️
