Kimberly’s Story (Stage 4 metastatic)

I was diagnosed the first time in 2008; I made it five years and one month and then diagnosed the second time. I went through 24 rounds of chemo and three months of radiation. At that time I was diagnosed with stage 3.

When I finished everything treatment wise about six months later I was not feeling good and noticed that my chest was collapsing in. I went to my family doctor, she said let’s keep an eye on you, it could just be side effects from chemo and radiation.

So me believing in doctors at that time did what she said; after a month I went back feeling worse and she sent me for testing. Come to find out the cancer came back and now in twelve areas of my body. Bones, lungs, kidneys, and heading to my brain. I have made the decision to live my life to the fullest and enjoy it.
