Kayla’s Story (Endometriosis)

Kayla's Endometrosis StoryMy story started out by going to the doctor in March of 2011 with severe abdominal pain, after being told it was “just” multiple cyst that burst. I was basically told to take it easy. We decided six months later to have my first laparoscopic surgery. After almost a year of still having severe abdominal pain I went in for my second laparoscopic surgery in November of 2012 at the age of 20 and was diagnosed with endometriosis.

We have tried the Luperon shots (which I was allergic too), countless birth controls, and now finally am trying the depo provera shot. I go in on March 18th to see if I will need a third surgery.

It has been a long scary road. My biggest fear is not being able to have children, and dealing with the chronic pain can definitely put a damper on a lot of areas in your life.

So here is too believing they will find a cure!
