My story started out by going to the doctor in March of 2011 with severe abdominal pain, after being told it was “just” multiple cyst that burst. I was basically told to take it easy. We decided six months later to have my first laparoscopic surgery. After almost a year of still having severe abdominal pain I went in for my second laparoscopic surgery in November of 2012 at the age of 20 and was diagnosed with endometriosis.
We have tried the Luperon shots (which I was allergic too), countless birth controls, and now finally am trying the depo provera shot. I go in on March 18th to see if I will need a third surgery.
It has been a long scary road. My biggest fear is not being able to have children, and dealing with the chronic pain can definitely put a damper on a lot of areas in your life.
So here is too believing they will find a cure!
