Kandi’s Story (Brain Tumor)

Grey RibbonHello, my name is Kandi. My story starts in January of 2003. I went to my doctor for a headache that just wouldn’t go away. He decided to send me in for an MRI, just to play it safe.

Two days later, he called me at home and told me to sit down. He said that he got my results back, and it wasn’t good. I had a brain tumor.

The good news was that it was operable. They had me in surgery by mid-April of that year.

Since then, the tumor has come back 3 times. I was just diagnosed again in September of last year.

I am currently waiting for surgery again. The 23rd of May was my 2 year anniversary since my last surgery.
