I was originally diagnosed in 2008 with breast cancer, which required a lumpectomy and radiation consult. Ultimately, radiation was not recommended. In 2010, I had breast cancer again, and not far from my original surgery. I made the decision to have a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction, greatly reducing my reoccurrence percentage. In 2017, I had an aggressive growth on my ovary that required a partial hysterectomy. Although it’s been a rough road, I am glad I made the treatment decisions I did. Still fighting!
