My mom passed in 1997 from breast cancer, and 3 years after she passed I found out that I had it. I was so scared, all I could think was I’m going to die like my mom. It was a struggle and a long hard road, I wanted to end my life because it was hard to deal with.
My support system wasn’t very good; my two girls watched my mom get sick, go through treatment, and watched her die. So, it was hard for me to deal with, but I made it through the struggles and hard roads. Now, I’ve been 20 years cancer free.
