Hello, my name is Angela. I was diagnosed with DCIS in August 2023 after a biopsy. After a 2nd biopsy the decision for a double mastectomy and reconstruction was made. I had both done in September 2023.
After my mastectomy, I was diagnosed with stage 1 Her2+ breast cancer. I started a duo of chemotherapy/Herceptin in November 2023, and am still currently in that duo.
This has been the most overwhelming, emotional journey of my life and my family’s as well. Thanks to websites like this that allow us to tell our stories and get help if we need it. Let’s keep fighting this battle together.
