Angela’s Fight Like a Girl Story (Stomach Cancer)

Stomach Cancer StoriesMy father died of stomach cancer, but at 80+ years the family, although very sad, felt he had a full life. However, in 2009 my 30 year old nephew was diagnosed with stomach cancer and passed away in August 2010, leaving behind a wife and two small children. The family went for genetic testing and his mother, her oldest son and myself were diagnosed with this same gene.

We all proceeded to have our entire stomach removed and have been living life as it comes at us. Sometimes things got bad but we were able to fight back and face the life God has given us. I will be retiring soon due to this and hoping the next chapter in my life will be wonderful.
