My name is Aida, I’m a 46 years old and a three time cancer survivor. I was first diagnosed at the age of 17. By the time I was 24, I had to have a radical hysterectomy, which included removal of my lymph nodes. My oldest child was 5 years old at the time of my hysterectomy.
I remember being so scared of dying; scared for my children, not for myself. By the grace of God, I have been in remission over 15 years now. I not only was privileged to watch my children grow up, but I now have three grandchildren that I witnessed being born.
It has been a challenging ordeal, as I have developed a hosts of illnesses. I was diagnosed with heart failure; which required two cardiac ablations as well as cardiac implant. I have interstitial cystitis that then required several procedures in the operating table. I have endometriosis, and that was removed laparoscopically several times. As well as many more health ailments. Thank God I don’t look like what I have been through.
