Debbie’s Story (Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma)

debbies-story-endometrial-stromal-sarcomaEndometrial Stromal Sarcoma (ESS) is very rare; affecting 2-6 women of one million. June 3, 2019, was the day of my diagnosis after being hospitalized for hemorrhaging with no previous symptoms. I had surgery the next day, and that July I began chemotherapy. I completed chemotherapy on October 30, 2019.

As of May 2020, I am NED; but the fight continues as my rare cancer has a high risk for recurrence. I will never give up and with the love and support of my family and friends, I will keep fighting!
