Staci’s Story (Cancer on my Tongue)

red and white ribbon postWhen I was diagnosed with cancer, I thought I would’ve reacted differently. However, I truly believe that prayers and staying positive helped me through my 7 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation.

I never heard of cancer on the tongue; but as I can see now, it can pop up anywhere. When I went to Iowa City for my treatments, there were so many people with this type of cancer. As well as so many more that were worse off than me, so I consider myself lucky and I’m even more of a strong willed person for taking this journey. I had ‘the F’s’ as I call them, on my side –  Faith, Family and Friends.
