Thursday May 23rd, 2013, will be one year ago that I was diagnosed with stage two (2) lobular breast cancer. I felt like the breath was knocked out of me when I found out. My two biggest worries were telling my son and telling my 82 year old mom. We lost my youngest sister to lung cancer four years prior. I waited till July to tell my son and my mom.
My husband, brothers and friends were my rock. I feel very lucky. After a clean PET CT, I opted for a bilateral mastectomy and chemo. The chemo almost did me in, but here I am even stronger than before! Thank you Lord for giving me the strength to endure. Anything is possible!! My hair is about an inch and a half long now and I feel great.
Always–Always–FIGHT LIKE A GIRL!!! You can do it!!!!!!
