Orlean’s Story (Cervical Cancer)

Orlean's Story (Cervical Cancer)I have had heavy periods for months which led to anemia. I went in for my regular pap and it came back with abnormal cells. After having a colonoscopy and biopsies done, my came back positive for stage 1 cervical cancer.

Being in my late 40’s and already a grandma, there was no second thoughts of having a radical hysterectomy done. Everything, including the lymph nodes.

There was also the possibility of  needing radiation after the results from the surgery came back on whether it had spread.
My biopsies all took place June 2013  and I had my hysterectomy in July 2013.

Thankfully, radiation was not needed. The pathology reports came  back negative…It did not spread!!
We caught it in time…Thank the good Lord. <3

With only a few minor set backs from the surgery and menopause hitting me everything is all good! :):)
And I’m cancer free

I am a cancer survivor. I had stage 4 cervical cancer. I would love to tell my story and everything

This brought me to tears and gave me so much hope. I was told a week ago after a Leep procedure to remove pre-cancer cells, that they did in fact find cancer cells in my cervix. I have not seen the oncologist yet so I do not know how bad or if it spread. But seeing so many survive this gives me so much hope that I will beat Cervical Cancer 🙂 Thank You for sharing your story.
