Leilani’s Fight Like a Girl Story (Synovial Sarcoma)

Leilani's Sarcoma StoriesHello everyone I would like to share my story with everyone. I was 33 years old when I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma. It started in December of 2006, two months after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl. It stared with a lower back pain that led me to the ER. From there a CT scan discovered a tumor on my right kidney.

I had a nephrectomy done to remove my right kidney. I also did radiation and chemo. After treatments I am very strong and healthy, I am enjoying my life as a wife and a mother to my family.

This past December I did my normal X-ray scan which came back with a spot on my right upper lung. I had the surgery done last month to remove the spot which is the same cancer from 2006. I am going to the MD Anderson Cancer Center for consultation and with my strong catholic faith I will beat this cancer!

I am a fighter and I will fight this for my family. I want to be here for my husband and of course for my two children. Please pray for me and my family so together we all can fight this. I am a girl who will fight and beat this! Our faith and prayers are very strong and our lord savior will answer them . God bless you all and my prayers are all with you, I hope for healing and strength for everyone.
