I had such bad abdominal pain, it was insane. I would get these cramps every single day, for hours straight, and I thought it was just my period. Finally I got fed up and told my mom. She made a doctor’s appointment and I had to get 3 ultrasounds and a pelvic ultrasound.
They found a large 10 cm cyst on my right ovary which was weird to me because I was having pain on my left side. I had an appointment to see the gynecologist and he told me that on December 22nd, I would need to have surgery. What they discovered during the surgery was that not only was the cyst huge but it formed inside my right ovary and got so big it exploded. Then it had started to grow into my other organs. They also found another cyst on my left side and removed it.
Now I have one ovary on my left side. I am so happy they removed both cysts, but the only strange part of it is I still have the ongoing pain. It feels like it was never removed. I am 17-years-old, and in two months, it will be the 1 year anniversary of my surgery. I have another doctor’s appointment to see what is going on again, and I’m hoping all goes well.
I hope my story has helped someone in some way.
