Julie’s Story (Breast Cancer)

Julie Breast Cancer

Hi!

I went thru a heart wrenching divorce after 33-years of marriage in October 2015.

Soon after, I noticed my right breast looked funny and had a hard large lump in it(it was always lumpy!) I made an appointment and had a mammogram in April 2016.

Six months after my divorce, I was diagnosed stage three, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer.

I started 12 round of weekly taxol by 06/2016, then four A/C chemo treatments that were completed in October 2016. I had my double mastectomy in November 2016, that was followed by 33-rounds of daily radiation.

I have had five reconstructive surgeries, and I am still lopsided.

Additionally, I was also diagnosed with heart failure as a result of the chemo. So, I’ll have to remain on heart medication for life.

I have done all of this alone.

My cheater ex- husband could care less and has never reached out. My two adult kids have never reached out. I was a good mom and wife and unlike the three of them, I never asked for anything.

I did, however, give my heart and soul to all of their selfish self-centered butts!

I’m 55 years old now, and my hair is back and I feel good and I think I look good.

I want anyone struggling to know it will get better, life goes back to somewhat normal and even if you are alone you will be ok. You really will!

  1. Dear Julie,

???You might have Cancer but it certainly does not have you!??

Forgive your children no matter how old they are for they have no knowledge of life… It does not mean you must run to them and take crap for their ignorance of not having any knowledge of humanity, if you dont want to it is your choice to make.
But expect rudeness that way you won’t be surprised!
And for your ex-husband thank him for 33 years and two children because you seem to be capable of strength and endurance, you also seem to be a thoughtful warm person… then with that said and done with send him a THANK YOU note for for giving you the best time in your life … …him not being there ! ?

    Stay Strong and…
    ?keep Fighting Like A Girl!!?

    With Love From Canada ??
