In April 2009, I had been sick with pneumonia and the flu. It got so bad that I ended up in the ER. They told me I was going into respiratory failure due to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). I was soon trached and put in a medically induced coma. I also had a g tube and had to end up recovering in a rehab hospital. There I had to learn to swallow, talk, walk, and everything due to the trache and being in a coma for two months. I finally went home and my trache closed up, the grumble was removed, and I got sick again because my left lung was weak from being so sick. It spontaneously collapsed three times and I ended up with a chest tube while in the hospital.
I found out I had a tumor on my left ovary and had a hysterectomy. I was fairly healed from that and then I had a bad car wreck which caused a head trauma. I soon found out that I had thyroid cancer. I had surgery and I have been cancer free for almost three years now. I am divorced after 16 years but I’m not letting anything get me down! My faith in God is strong and I continue to fight like a girl! I may never be completely normal and I am currently dealing with liver failure but nothing will keep me down long!
