I had a 10 year long relationship where I was made to bow down to his every command. I was hit, strangled, and cut if i didn’t do as he said. Leaving was hard. I loved him. I hated myself. I went down a bad, bad road.
Then one day he said that I was not “worthy” of anyone. I don’t know, but I snapped and broke his nose. I have never looked back. He is now in jail.
It took 2 years of therapy and self-love to get to a good place.
