Diane’s Story (Breast and Ovarian Cancer)

dianes story breast and ovarian cancerI was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2010. I had a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. On May 9, 2011, I was certified cancer free.

On February 22,2022, I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. I went through a 6 hour surgery on March 17th to remove all the cancer in my abdomen. I still had some small spots in some of my omentum and on my spleen.

I will be done with chemotherapy on August 25th. My CA 125 has gone from 885.5 to 17.9 after my 3rd round of chemo.

I’m determined to kick this cancer’s butt. Although, I will have to be monitored every 3 months the rest of my life to keep up the fight.
