Beth’s Story (Fibromyalgia)

Beth's Story (Fibromyalgia)After thinking I was going crazy for years in 2010, my new family doctor sent me to see a pain management doctor for a second opinion. They finally told me I had fibromyalgia.

The doctor at the time told me to go home and Goggle it because he didn’t have a lot of information on it. So I did and after reading the information it all made sense to me.

I’m a single mom and some days are better than others but I refuse to give up! My kids are nine and five. I don’t want them to look back and think of me as always in bed or drugged up. It’s hard because I’m going to school full time to try to get all this done before I get worse. I think my life, as crazy has it can be at times, keeps me in a routine and that’s working for me right now!

  1. I am sorry to read you are ill. have you had you thyroid and pituitary checked? My Best, Lisa aka HypoGal

  2. I know what you’re going through, I’ve been dealing with it for almost 20 years. Finally getting a diagnosis is the first step in coming to grips with it and all the other issues that you’re going to be facing. Not being sedentary and being proactive in your approach will be the best advice I can give you. I spent a lot of wasted time in the bed and all drugged up when I should have been living. Reaching out to others and sharing experiences is going to be more beneficial than anything a doctor who hasn’t been there before. Hang in there and keep moving forward.

  3. There is treatment: d-ribose. Safe and effective for fibro and CFS. Google d-ribose fibromyalgia. Buy any good brand, it is a supplement, a simple type of sugar. It really works. Try it please, you will not regret.
