Paula’s Story (Breast Cancer)

paulas-story-breast-cancerI am a 20 year breast cancer survivor. I received a lay off from work in 2001, and decided to get my mammogram since it had been 2 years and I was losing my insurance coverage. That mammogram and the Good Lord saved my life because the lump was so deep – my gynecologist didn’t even feel it!

I was in an abusive marriage at the time; he was an alcoholic and a drug addict. He told me the weekend before my surgery that I would die. As soon as I could after chemo and radiation, I went back to work and divorced him.

By God’s loving grace, a supportive family, excellent doctors and treatment – I am alive and cancer free for 20 years on 7/02/2021.

Never give up! Fight that fight and Win! I did!! Love and Hugs to all that are fighting, the winners, and those that fought so hard, but became warrior angels instead. ♥
