My story starts 48 years ago, I was 4 years old when I was diagnosed with leukemia. My treatment included chemotherapy, radiation and blood transfusion. After treatment, I was in remission and cured. Then at the age of 41, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. My treatment included having my thyroid removed and given medications I would have to take for the rest of my life. Fast forward 3 years, at the age of 44, I had a stroke. I was in the hospital for one week and rehab for one week, I did have side effects but they were minor.
Now we enter more recent times. At the end of 2022, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, specifically ductal carcinoma in situ. My treatment included two surgeries to remove the cancer. I am now waiting to find out what treatment will be best to make sure the cancer does not return. This little warrior is tired but I will continue to always fight because that is what my mom and dad always taught me to do. My siblings are my best support team.
No matter how hard it gets, continue the fight. We Got This!!
