Elizabeth’s Story (Endometriosis)

Elizabeth's Story (Endometriosis)I am 27 years old and I have had three surgeries for endometriosis since I was informed that I had it in an ER at age 24. I went in with pain in my right side, the doctors where going to send me for surgery for my appendix when they told me they had made a mistake, it was a cyst on my ovary’s.

I had no idea what it was or how to deal with it (I also found this out after three previous OB/GYN’s told me it was all in my head). I needed surgery and needed it soon as the cyst was around some other parts of my body, as well as in my tubes. They took out four cysts with the first surgery, one was the size of a softball, it was bad. The also found out that what they thought was my IBS was not really IBS, it was endometriosis. Right before the last surgery my mother told me about doTERRA (essential oils), and I told myself  that nothing else has seemed to help so why would this? She said, “Tell you what, I will get it for you and let’s see if it helps. It did!

I am now pain free. I still have endometriosis, just no pain. It is amazing to have a life again and not be stuck lying in bed in pain. I started using clary sage, cypress, and geranium on my stomach every day. I now take it once a week. I also just started taking their DDR to see if it helps, I will find out in January if it has. Hopefully it does so that I will be able to start trying IVF. I know two other people that have also started doTERRA and are now pregnant, one just had a baby. I also now can hold a job and have all my critters. It is amazing!

    Elizabeth,

Thank you for sharing your story and your experience with oils to help pain. I am going to try this myself. Nothing has helped my pain at all. I am trying everything. This is new to me. I was diagnosed in August and I have been devastated, sick, and in pain. Good luck with your future and thanks again !
