My name is Barbara Tullous. I was diagnosed three years ago with degenerative hip disease. I also have bad knees. It’s starting to look like I may also have RA.
I work at a psyche hospital 40 hours a week with teenage girls. Sometimes I float to the adult unit and the little kids unit. I also work at Office Depot for 15 hours a week.
I have been married 20 years to a man who suffers with RA. I have a son in college and a son who is a senior in high school. I do the normal house work as well as attend most sporting events that my youngest son plays. I try to cook at least three days a week as well as grocery shop and I do laundry on the days off. I stay in pain but I don’t let it stop me from doing what I want and need to do. I also have blood pressure problems. My pain can and does effect my blood pressure. I fight like a girl every day.
