Donice’s Story (Breast Cancer)

Breast Cancer Ribbon One year ago this month (July 2012) I took the last of 27 chemo treatments.

I was diagnosed in March of 2010 with 2 types of breast cancer, both were stage 3. I had a modified radical mastectomy, 27 chemo treatments and 30 radiation treatments.

Cancer took part of my body, took my hair, took a year and a half of my time but it did not take my life.

If you are battling cancer you CAN win!! I DID!! I had lots of prayer, and a wonderful support group of family and friends. Keep a positive attitude and keep smiling. There is light at the end of the battle.

God bless each and every one of you.

  1. I understand exactly what you went thru, I was diagnosed with stage 2, I had a bilateral mastectomy, chemo also, it took my hair, of course!! now I am in the remodeling phase LOL, but without the help of family, friends and tons of prayer, I am now cancer free!!! Keep the faith and keep on fighting!!

  2. Donice, you are a fighter. I’m proud of you. I’ve been recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast cancer (estrogen caused) on Feb 27, 2013 and I feel like you. Cancer has taken my hair, my happiness, and valuable time from my kids. But thanks to God, family & friends, I can hold my head up no matter what situation I’m going through. We serve an awesome God!
