Ten years ago found out I had invasive ducal carcinoma. Opted for a double mastectomy and 7 rounds of chemo. Doctors told me I had a 95 percent chance of not ever having cancer again.
This summer I started having trouble with my shoulder and went through tons of tests to discover the breast cancer came back as Her2+. My doc says I’m treatable but will be considered chronically ill. Just had my first round of chemo and have had some scary reactions. However, I refuse to be negative or not believe that I cannot continue living a long life. As long as I have a breath in my body, I will fight like a girl.
