Joan’s Story (Breast Cancer)

When I was 47, I found out that I had stage 3 breast cancer. I had 2 months of chemotherapy to shrink the tumor. I then had a mastectomy and 37 treatments of radiation.

My family was with me every step of the way. It has been 10 years since then and I am doing fine. I know that I have God , my family and Roswell park to thank for my success. I will never stop fighting.
