Sharon’s Mom’s Story (Breast Cancer)

Breast Cancer Ribbon My Mom is truly my angel on Earth. There isn’t anyone that meets her that doesn’t  fall in love with her and have an instant connection.

For the past 20 years, my Mom has fought breast cancer. For the fourth time, she has been diagnosed yet again. This time with a cancer that so little is known about; inflammatory breast cancer. Through life’s struggles and trials, she remains strong, worries about others and not herself, and she is the true meaning of ‘fight like a girl’. Everyday is a fight for life with her. I love her and she is not only my beautiful Mom, she is my best friend!

    Sharon-
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mom. Just wanted to let you know that back in 2005 my Mom was diagnosed with IBC and is doing great today. She went through pretty intense chemo, surgery and then radiation and has been cancer free since then! In fact, it was her experience with cancer that cause me to second guess my doctors after I noticed something amiss – and I had underwent a lumpectomy in 2007 and then a double mastectomy in 2009 after a recurrence. So, my Mom and I will be praying for you and your Mom! Also, we relied very much on the book “Love Medicine and Miracles” by Bernie Siegal – it’s a gem!

Sharon, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I too am a breast surviver since 2009. I had a wonderful support group in my family, especially my husband Jim. Now he has lung cancer that has matastasised to his liver and his pancreas. But he’s dong wonderful, thanks in a big way to all the prayers from our family and friends. I feel so sorry for the people going through this who don’t have faith. Without God, I know I wouldn’t be here and he’s going to take care of my husband too. God bless all you survivors.
