This is my personal story of my journey with breast cancer. I was 52 years old when I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. When I first heard this, I was shocked and started crying. My sisters were with me. I have a very loving family and I thank God for them all.
I had surgery and then I proceeded with chemo and radiation. This was the hardest thing I have ever done and every day I prayed that God would give me the strength to get through this. With God and my amazing family, I made it.
Then, 5 years later, I had a lot of pain under my arm and I knew that the cancer had came back. I thought ‘Dear God, please not again’. I had more surgery and chemo and it was very hard this time. But with lots of prayers and my family, I am still a survivor. God bless each and everyone of you that are going through this. Never give up! You can do it! I did with the love of my family and God.
