In fall of 2011 I was diagnosed with stage 2 b breast cancer, the day after I was engaged. I went through six rounds of chemo and 20 rounds of radiation. I am now at the end of my herceptin and I’m getting my port removed right after. I do carry the BRCA 1 gene, but my doctor is convinced it’s not going to return. I hope not. I was 25 when I was diagnosed.
In August 2012, my fiance got sick. We had a wedding planned for late October 2012, he knew he wasn’t going to make it to the wedding, so I married him in the hospital. He passed away September 13, 2012. He was my angel…I believe he took my spot! I now have two beautiful boys to raise and live for!
