Angelia’s Story (Breast, Lung Cancer)

angelias-story-breast-lung-cancerI am 42 years old and on April 17th, 2018 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Shortly after my diagnosis, they scheduled surgery for me to get the port put in for Chemotheraphy.

I had to get a chest x-ray prior to the operation and during this time the radiologist discovered a mass in my lower right lung. I was sent to a lung specialist who did some testing and determined it was cancerous. Just two weeks had passed since my breast cancer diagnosis.

Now, I was facing stage Stage 2B lung cancer.

Just a few weeks later, I’m being taken into the operating room and to have 1/4 of my lower right lung taken out. Right now, I am healing from that surgery and waiting to start Chemo for my breast cancer.

The plan is to do Chemo six times and then go get the mass removed from my right breast. I’m staying pretty strong throughout all of this and people are amazed at how well I am doing.

I will not let these diseases control my life.

I am fighting and I will beat This! #FIGHTLIKEAGIRL ❤
