What in the world is a Twitter Power Blitz? It’s simply a charity-driven marketing program meant to accomplish two things: (1) provide a donation to a worthy cause (2) increase our Twitter followers
How does it work? The Fight Like A Girl Club Twitter Power Blitz Charity Program is divided into one-week “campaigns”. During a campaign, we (the Fight Like A Girl Club) and the
selected non-profit recipient for that particular campaign tweet several times a day that Fight Like a Girl Club is donating $.10 per new follower of the Fight Like A Girl Club up to a maximum number of followers – currently that number is 2,000 (we established a maximum so that we can spread out our donations to a variety of worthy causes). A tweet would look something like this:
Become a new follower of @FightLikeAGirlC by Fri and they will donate $.10 to @xyzcharity up to 2,000 followers!
We have several tweet variation suggestions that we provide to charities that are selected so that tweets sent throughout the day won’t all be the same. Since your Twitter id will be mentioned in each of the tweets, in addition to the resulting donation from the campaign, your organization will gain some added exposure from retweets.

We plan for the program to continue throughout 2011 so if you are not selected immediately your application will continue to be considered throughout the year. It is therefore not necessary to submit more than one application.
