
In march of 2010 I went in for a hysterectomy, after having month's of worsening pain in my lower abdomen. My OB/GYN first said that I had a cyst. Then said I had polyp, and later said it maybe adenomyosis. I was prescribed birth control pills, and pain medicine to try to help my problem. They also asked me to take injection's for six month's that would cause me to go into menopause. A friend of mine told me she tried the injection's, and that her pain came right back after she stopped the injection's. I decided to opt out of taking the shot. I asked to have a hysterectomy, because none of the treatments I was receiving seemed to help me at all. It’s a good thing I had the surgery because my pathology report came back as stage 3C uterine cancer. It was 2 mm away from penetrating the uterine wall into my abdomen.
